Sassafras trees are native to the eastern United States and have long been used for making tea, flavoring root beer sodas and other culinary and medicinal uses. Our handmade Sassafras candy invokes the nostalgia of days gone by in a sweet but savory candy drop.
Ingredients: Sugar, Dextrose, Artificial Flavor, Artificial Color (FD&C Yellow #5 and #6, FD&C Red #40).
Our candy is cooked in a copper kettle with top quality ingredients before being formed by vintage equipment. We're proud to say our candies are family made in the USA!
Manufactured in a facility that processes tree nuts, peanuts, dairy and soy products. Do not eat if you have allergies to these products.
Our commercial facility is inspected by the NC Department of Agriculture.

I chewed in sassafras leaf stems and bark when I was a kid roaming the WV hills. This doesn't taste anything like sassafras

This Christmas I wanted to share it with my family, so I was delighted to find your store! The candy checks all the boxes—the right color and the right flavor—and it’s fresh! (I posted a pic of the bag I opened in my great-grandma Lula’s 100 year old candy dish. The other bag is a stocking stuffer for my kiddo!)
